Legion of Honor

The Orak Shrine Legion of Honor, Shriners International is organized for the purpose of Fostering a spirit of Patriotism and a Love of Country and Flag, Perpetuating the memory of our Comrades in Arms who died in the service of their country

and to unite more closely former Comrades in Arms in the continuing service of God and Country, Masonry and Shrinedom.



 

 

2018 Legion of Honor Officers & Information

Description of Unit: Legion of Honor is a unit with the Shrine comprising Nobles who are veterans/members of the various branches of the Armed Forces and its Allies.

Prerequisites & Special Requirements for Joining: Any shrine member on active duty in or having an Honorable Discharge from any of our countries Armed Forces.

Appearances Unit Makes: Any time at the will and pleasure of the Illustrious Potentate, with at least 4 times per year.

Meeting Dates: 4th Monday, every other month @ 6:30 pm

Membership Size: 31 Nobles

Dues: Initial fee $30, annual membership dues $15.

Location of Meeting:  Orak Shrine 3848 N. Frontage Rd., Michigan City, IN 46360

Type of Uniforms: Fez and membership jewel.

Special Events: Activities are engaged in order to perpetuate the memory of those who have made the supreme sacrifice in the service of their country, foster a spirit of patriotism and love of country and its flag. We maintain a color guard, who post the colors at the will and pleasure of Illustrious Potentate, actively reach out to veterans and active duty service members, and participate in special events commemorating our shared military past and our countries sacrifices.
